Makaton Foundation
BHT Early Education and Training’s Makaton Foundation Workshop will develop and extend signing and symbols skills, it is ideal for teachers and practitioners who work in Early Years / Foundation Stage, or those working within specialist provision supporting children with communication difficulties.
This course is delivered over two full days by our Makaton Tutor.
The course will provide you with a more detailed introduction to the Makaton vocabulary, and brings together a practical approach with theory and technical information. You will learn approximately 250 signs and symbols from the Core Vocabulary.
Prerequisite – you must have attended the Makaton Taster session before enrolling on this course, or evidence learning from another communication workshop.
