ICAN Early Talk

BHT Early Education and Training’s Early Talk is ICAN’s highly successful training and accreditation programme, supporting practitioners to work with parents to support the communication needs of children from birth to 5 years.

Through independent evaluation this programme has shown to enhance the learning environment for all children, with a long-term positive impact on staff and practice.

This course is delivered by our ICAN Licensed Tutor over 2 full days, it provides 4 training units that enables practitioners to support all young children’s communication skills through a range of strategies and techniques.

This course is recommended for professionals working with children 0-5 years.

The Aim of this course is for participants to be able to:

  • Work with the under 3’s: Enhancing knowledge and providing strategies, which they can use to support communication and language development, from the start of a child’s life.
  • Work with parents: This course is designed for family facing practitioners, including Health Visitors, Teachers, Early Years Practitioners, and Family Support Workers, with the aim of enhancing parental support of early communication development.
